A creative collaborator and event strategist, Ko has worked across multiple countries and industry sectors in the past 20 years in management roles. With global experience spanning North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, Ko joined InfoCommAsia in July 2023 to expand the international footprint of the expos in Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Ko is a Hong Kong born Canadian and Australian, and is a passionate leader dedicated to creating events to connect industries and people with meaningful memories.
Ko was recently Executive Director and Vice President, IAAPA Asia Pacific Operations. Ko joined IAAPA in 2014 with more than 20 years of experience promoting business interests in the Asia-Pacific region. She has expertise assisting Europe-and North America-based companies with successfully navigating cultural and business differences. Her background in product development and corporate services is an asset to IAAPA within the region.
Prior to joining IAAPA, Ko served as a director with Meridian Partners, a Hong Kong-based consulting company that assists clients engaged in corporate services and international trade, especially in China and Southeast Asia. Based in the Toronto office, she provided support and guidance to North American clients. Prior to Meridian Partners, Ko held various positions with ICS Trust, a financial services company based in Hong Kong; Ascalade Communications, a wireless communications firm with offices in Vancouver, Hong Kong, Mainland China; and Ngai Lik Electronics Trading Ltd., also based in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Ko oversees the IAPL teams in Shanghai, China and Singapore, which hosts three international expos InfoCommChina, InfoCommIndia and InfoCommAsia in Beijing, Mumbai and Bangkok respectively.
She was named one of the Blooloop 50 in 2020, identifying her as one of the top 50 theme park influencers that year.
Ko earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto with a major in East Asian Studies and Economics. She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.

David Labuskes, CTS, CAE, RCDD, has been the CEO of AVIXA, the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry, since January 2013. Since joining AVIXA, Labuskes has worked to promote industry professionalism, expand global programs and raise awareness of AVIXA offerings. He serves on the Board of Directors of Integrated Systems Events, LLC, a joint venture European trade show company, and InfoComm Asia PTE, Ltd., a joint venture company in Singapore operating AVIXA’s Asian trade shows. Prior to joining AVIXA, Labuskes served as vice president of RTKL, now a division of ARCADIS, a leading architectural and engineering firm. He is the founder of the company’s Technology Design Practice, overseeing the delivery of audiovisual, voice, data, wireless, environmental media, electronic security and acoustics services. Previously, Labuskes served as President and CEO of Premier Technology services, a software and systems design consulting firm, and was Executive Vice President of Accelerated Payment Systems, an electronic payments processing firm. He earned a BA in International Politics from Penn State University and earned an MBA from Loyola University of Maryland.
